Carlene Carter Fan Club: Photos
Little Nashville Opry, IN - October 25, 2008.
- Our dear Fan Club friend Alexandra Hidalgo and her husband Nate Bowler drove 2 1/2 hours to see Carlene perform at the Little Nashville Opry in Indiana. Alex poses below in front of the Opry's wall of photos of stars who have played there in the past...

- Then Alex and Nate take their front-row seats for the big show...

- Alex wrote of Carlene's performance: "When she came out she was looking radiant and she told stories between every song and one about Helen in the middle of 'Dixie Darlin'' which was fantastic. She was so witty and honest and wonderfully warm and funny."

- "Of course I couldn't help being reminded of lovely June. They certainly share that sense of humor and charisma, that ability to spellbind an audience. I loved the stories as much as I loved the songs. It really gives the show a personal touch."

- "Joe came out and they sang 'Jackson' and 'It Takes One to Know Me.' It was lovely and they seemed very in love and it was great to see them carrying on the long Carter tradition of having family members onstage singing to one another as well as to us."

- "She ended with 'Hurricane' by pointing at me, saying: 'This girl here looks really nice. She's been smiling all night. I love her. And the guy next to her looks pretty nice too, but if they were to break up, this is how you get even when you're leavin'."

- "As you can imagine that really made the night perfect for us!!!!! I was so happy! It was fantastic." When the show was over, "She was lovely and sat at a little table and signed autographs after it was all done..."

- "I had bought one of her 'Stronger' pictures and taken my June book 'Among My Klediments' and she was wonderful and wrote: 'To Alex, Love from June and Carlene' which totally makes the book super fantastic now!! Anyway, it was the most marvelous evening!"
