Carlene started her set with "Every Little Thing" from her 1993 "Little Love Letters" CD, seen below held by Joe (in the middle) who brought it to be signed. Carlene also performed many songs from her great new "Stronger" CD, ending with the title track.

Other songs she sang from "Stronger" included the autobiographical "The Bitter End," "Why Be Blue," her divorce song "To Change Your Heart," "Bring Love" about her and new husband Joe Breen, and "It Takes One To Know Me" with Joe joining her on vocals!

Fan Josh Gass (below) drove all the way from Illinois to meet Carlene, and said "It did not bother me to wait all day for her, it was worth it. Earlier I went and bought three more CDs of hers down at The Great Escape, it was nice to get them signed."

Herbie, C.C., Lorrie... At the Ryman Carlene dedicated her performance of "Me And The Wildwood Rose" to Lorrie, for all the times she shared with her and sister Rosey as kids growing up in the Carter Family, traveling with their moms and grandma Maybelle.

There was an emotional surprise visit from long-time family friend Larry Gatlin! Carlene's mom referred to Larry as one of her babies, along with Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson and Joe South. (Notice Johnny Cash on the wall over Larry's shoulder...)
