Some history on how CCCP came to be: The trio "Claudia - Big Hand - Casino" were credited with turning Norway onto "left-wing country," with their award-winning gold and platinum albums (the first of which was titled "Will The Circle Be Unbroken," in 1983). Casino Steel had also previously found much success bringing "punk country" to Norway on albums with Gary Holton in the early '80s.

From www.CasinoSteel.com, CCCP was: "A concept intended to be Gary Holton, Casino Steel, Ellen Foley and Carlene Carter. After Gary's death, CCCP was formed with Carlene Carter, Claudia Scott, Casino Steel and John Payne. The album sold well, but the magic was not there, so CCCP disbanded after one album only."

Carlene can be heard on just a few of the CCCP album tracks: sharing lead vocals on "Reach Out - I'll Be There," "Let's Spend The Night Together," and "Strange Brew"; and lead vocals by herself on "Centerfold."

All tracks from the CCCP album can be heard and bought from the website www.MusicBlink.com (search under "C" for Casino Steel).
